Dressing for daylight
Daylight is unforgiving about fabric and finish, which is why this edit leans on matte crepe, clean linings and colours that hold up in sun rather than under flash. Soft neutrals, ivory, sage and dusty tones photograph well outdoors. If the event moves indoors for the evening, a deeper accessory and a bolder lip does the transition without a change of clothes.
Comfort you can sit in
A daytime event is mostly spent seated. Choose a midi that does not ride up, a waistband with some give and a fabric that resists creasing — our crepes and satin-backed blends are chosen precisely for this. Sleeveless styles layer under a light blazer for air-conditioned rooms. A block heel or an elegant flat is more useful than a stiletto on grass or gravel.
From lunch to evening
The simplest transition we know: keep the dress, swap the flat for a heel, add a stronger earring and take the blazer off. That is why this edit and our workwear edit overlap so much — the pieces are built to carry a whole day rather than one hour of it.
