Tailoring, structured sets, business-to-evening dressing
Power Play is the workwear edit — tailoring made for women who are in rooms where the clothes should register once and then stop being noticed. Structured blazers, high-waisted trousers, corset sets and column dresses, all cut in-house so the shoulder line is ours rather than borrowed from a menswear block.

Building a working wardrobe
Four pieces cover most of a professional year: a matched blazer and trouser, a column dress, a waistcoat or corset for warmer months, and one sharply cut skirt. Because our sets are cut from the same bolt, the halves recombine — the blazer over the column dress, the trouser with a knit — and a small wardrobe stops looking small.
Fit, especially the shoulder
The shoulder is the only measurement on a blazer that cannot be altered well, so fit that first and have the waist and sleeves adjusted if needed. Trousers are cut high-waisted with a clean break; if you are under 5'4", shorten rather than size down. A column dress should skim, not cling — there should be enough room to sit through a meeting without adjusting the hem.
Fabric for a working day
We use structured suiting blends and heavy crepes that press cleanly, resist creasing through a day of sitting and hold colour through repeated dry cleaning. Blazers are half-lined so they are wearable in Indian summers, buttons are hand-attached, and trousers carry a proper faced waistband. Hang blazers on a broad hanger overnight and most creases fall out without pressing.

Questions we are asked
- Are these pieces suitable for an Indian summer office?
- Yes. Blazers are half-lined and the crepes are chosen for breathability, so the set is wearable in air-conditioned rooms without weight.
- Can I wear the blazer separately?
- That is how we cut them. Every piece in a set is finished to be worn independently — over jeans, a dress or a knit.
- Do trousers come in different lengths?
- They are cut to one length with allowance for hemming, which is the more accurate route than sizing down. Measurements are on each product page.
